The Uganda Cranes fell 3-0 to Cameroon Indomitable Lions in an international friendly match played at the Stade de Marrakech Annexe pitch in Morocco on Friday, 6th June 2025.

Flavien Boyomo, Jean Batoum and Patrick Soko scored for Cameroon.

Osasuna defender Boyomo headed home a free-kick on 34 minutes to give Cameroon the lead. The free-kick came off the left flank by Stade Rennais’ left full back Mahamadou Nagida.

Batoum doubled Cameroon’s lead two minutes into the second half with a brilliant header off a teasing corner kick delivery by CSKA Sofia right back James Eto’o.

Huesca forward finished off Vincent Aboubakar’s through ball in the 67th minute for the third goal. Aboubakar had replaced Adrien Mfoumou at the start of the second stanza.

Uganda Cranes head coach Paul Joseph Put introduced Travis Mutyaba for Allan Okello at the start of the second half.

Patrick Jonah Kakande replaced Rogers Mato in the 67th minute, Muhammed Shaban took over Denis Omedi’s place with 13 minutes to play, Arafat Usama came in for Hakim Kiwanuka and goalkeeper Isima Watenga replaced Nafian Alionzi deep in added time.

Unused Substitutes

Goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa and outfield players Tony Sibbick, Arnold Odong, Nico Wakiro Wadada, Ivan Ahimbisibwe, Abdu Karim Watambala and Isaac Muleme were all unused substitutes during this international friendly match.

Cameroon, who are managed by Marc Brys, is currently rated 50th on the latest FIFA Rankings with Uganda in 89th position.
