Uganda Premier League side Lugazi has completed the signing of hardworking midfielder, Amos Etoju.

Etoju joins the Najjembe-based side after spending the second round of the previous season at Kitara FC.

The announcement was made public through Lugazi FC’s official website on Thursday, July 24, 2025.

“We can announce that Amos Etoju has joined us on a two-year contract,” the statement partly reads.

Etoju joined Kitara in January, 2025 and made seven appearances in all competitions in the second round of the 2024/25 campaign.

Speaking to the club media, Etoju revealed that Lugazi is the perfect place for him to develop and grow.

“I want to improve as a player and believe this is the perfect place for me to develop,” Etoju said.

“I am excited and glad to join Lugazi FC. I want to commit myself here, work so hard and help the club achieve its goals,” he added.

“I know there are some challenges that will come along, but I am ready to face them. I will handle every situation the way it comes because I have to succeed here,” he concluded.

Coming to Lugazi, Etoju brings a good game reading, calm passing, aggressiveness, and a balance between defence and attack.

He can comfortably play as a central defender as well as a holding midfielder. He has previously played for Ngora Freda Carr, MYDA and Jinja North United
