KCCA will face off with SC Villa in the FUFA Super 8 Round One encounter at Phillip Omondi Stadium, Lugogo on Wednesday evening.
The highly anticipated Kampala Derby, a suiting battle and a perfect game to end the football drought as club football returns on the scene.
Speaking to the KCCA media, co-head coach Brian Ssenyondo has promised an interesting game against arch-rivals SC Villa.
“It’s going to be an interesting game and perfect for fans who have been without club football for quite a while,” Ssenyondo stated.
“The fans should expect good football and a win because we are here to win. We have to show our might and want to use this tournament as a perfect test ahead of the upcoming season,” he added.
Ready for the challenge
KCCA is ready for the challenge against their arch rivals since they have spent five weeks sharpening up their tools.
“We are doing well, though some of our players have been in the national team. However, we have managed to work with those who have been around,” the gaffer noted.
“So far so good. We are looking at maximising the preseason very well so that we can start the season on a high,” he concluded.
