Namuwongo Blazers beat Rezlife Saints in Game 2 of the National Basketball League playoffs to storm the semifinals.
The Blazers secured a comfortable 76-61 victory against the Saints in the NBL Playoffs at the Lugogo Indoor Arena on Thursday.
Namuwongo Blazers opened up a five-point (23-18) lead in the end-to-end opening quarter.
The Blazers kept the foot on the gas pedal as they extended their lead to seven points (42-35) going into the halftime break.
Coming from the locker rooms, the Blazers further gripped the steering wheel as Jimmy Enabu concluded the third quarter with a 3-point jump shot.
The Saints were limited to only 10 points in the final quarter as the Blazers secured a 15-point victory on the day.
Anthony Chukwurah (15 points), Jimmy Enabu (14 points) and Michael Makiadi (11 points) led the Blazers’ scoring chart in double digits.
On the other hand, Michael Otieno (17 points) and Christopher Omanye (13 points) were the only players for the Saints to reach double-digit points.
