Uganda is set to compete at the forthcoming Africa Zone 3 Boxing championship due in Kenya’s capital of Nairobi.
The championship boxes off on the 15th October and will run 25th October 2025.
The hosts Kenya will be joined by Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Burundi, Ethiopia, Somalia, Gabon, Congo Brazzaville, Central African Republic (CAR) and Cameroon.
Team composition:
There are 11 men and 5 female boxers on the team. Brenda Muduwah (50 Kg), Angel Katushabe (52 Kg), Fatuma Nabikolo (57 Kg), Erina Namutebi (63 Kg) and Emily Tina Nakalema (66 Kg) are the female boxers on the team.
The men fighters include heavy weights’ duo of Emmanuel Tabula Tusabe (92 Kg) and Aziz Ringo (92 Kg).

The others are; Samuel Ochen (54 Kg), Alfred Ojok (75 Kg), Alex Kanabi (71 Kg), Edward Mukwaya (67 Kg), Farahat Maninora (63.5 Kg), Jimmy Adiko (60 Kg), Kassim Muurungi (57 Kg), Livingstone Matovu (52 kg) and fly weight Ahmed Kato Kazibwe (48 Kg).
All these boxers are products of the champions’ league that has bred a pool of raw talented fighters.
This championship is sanctioned by the African Boxing Confederation (ABC) and the International Boxing Association (IBA).
Team Uganda departs on Tuesday, 14th October 2025 after an official flag off at the National Council of Sports (NCS).
