Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) have appointed Singida Black Stars head coach Miguel Gamondi to lead them at the forthcoming 2025 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations.
The former Young Africans tactician replaced Hemed Suleiman alias Morocco who guided the Taifa Stars to the Afcon whose contract has been mutually terminated as the press statement signed by TFF PR and Communications officer Cliford Mario Ndimbo.
“The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has terminated the contract of the Head Coach of the national team (Taifa Stars), Hemed Suleiman ‘Morocco’,” the statement partly read.
“The contract has been terminated by mutual agreement between the two parties: TFF on one side and Coach Morocco on the other.
“Following this decision, TFF has appointed Miguel Gamondi, coach of Singida Black Stars, as Acting Head Coach of Taifa Stars. Talks have already taken place between TFF and Singida Black Stars regarding Coach Gamondi taking on these new responsibilities.
“Coach Gamondi will lead Taifa Stars at the AFCON Finals to be held in Morocco starting this December.”
Tanzania will face Uganda, Nigeria and Tunisia at the edition that kick off in December in Morocco.
Gamondi guided Singida Black Stars to their first ever Caf interclub group stage qualification and he is coach to Uganda Cranes captain Khalid Aucho.
