Can you imagine that in 2013, FIFA ranked Uganda higher than Senegal?
And in 2019 Uganda went toe to toe with Senegal before losing by a 1-0.
One wonders what would have happened if Uganda Cranes players had not downed their tools before that game.
It all went downhill from there for Uganda. And COVID compounded the problems.
Meanwhile, Senegal grew from strength to strength. Now they are beating the likes of Brazil and England.
Hopefully, FUFA and the players learned their lessons.
