Uganda Premier League side URA Football Club has sacked Alex Isabirye after being in charge of 36 games.
The experienced gaffer was appointed as the head of the Tax Collectors in May 2023 after a decent spell at Express. However, his stay at URA has not been billed.
Known for his winning mentality and building sides that are hard to beat, the story has been different at URA. In the 36 games at the helm, URA has won 17, drawn nine and lost 10.
Isabirye’s second spell at the club comes to an end after a 2-1 loss to KCCA, led by former tax collector Ivan Ahimbisibwe, who scored a brace.
In the same breath, Isabirye’s entire technical bench, including Baker Kasule, Damba Jamil, and Patrick Asiku, has reportedly been relieved of their duties as well.
Isabirye’s journey continues as he has been previously at the helm of sides such as BUL, Vipers, Express, Soana, Kyetume, Nyamitybora and Somalia’s Horseed SC.
He leaves URA in the 11th position on the log with eight points after seven games played in the 2025/26 Uganda Premier League campaign.
