Maroons secured a well-deserved 3-0 victory against Lugazi in the Uganda Premier League encounter at Lugazi on Tuesday evening.
Raymond Walugembe, Jackson Nunda and Ivan Asaba were on target as Maroons sealed a sweet victory in front of the home crowd.
Walugembe headed the ball home in the second minute after being set up by Emmanuel Obua following a swift team play.
Nunda doubled the hosts’ lead with a beautiful finish after being set up by Walugembe four minutes after the hour mark.
The game went into halftime break with the Prison Wardens holding onto a comfortable 2-0 victory.
With three minutes to play, Ivan Asaba made it three, thus putting the icing on the cake to crown a beautiful day in office.
The victory takes Maroons to the 12th position with eight points while Lugazi lie 10th on the log with nine points after seven games played.
