Khama Billiat will not be featuring at AFCON 2025 after the forward was snubbed in Zimbabwe’s provisional squad for the upcoming tournament.
Billiat featured heavily in the qualifiers but the newly appointed coach, Marian Marinica, did not include the 35-year-old creative player in his 51-man squad named on Wednesday.
Marinica started his Warriors’ reign in the recent international break, which included a 3-1 loss to Algeria and a 2-1 win over Qatar.
The key names on Zimbabwe’s team include Marshall Munetsi, who plies his trade with Wolves in England, Marvelous Nakamba and Tawanda Blessing Chirenga, among others.
Zimbabwe are in Group B at AFCON 2025 alongside their neighbours South Africa, Angola and record champions Egypt.
