She Cranes secured a dominant 72-46 victory against Northern Ireland in the Celtic Cup at Emirates Arena in Glasgow, Scotland on Thursday.
Uganda came out of the blocks early to open an eight-goal (19-11) lead at the end of the opening quarter.
Uganda improved its shooting accuracy and increased the game’s tempo as it extended its lead to 16 goals (38-22) before the halftime break.
Coming from the halftime break, Uganda kept their foot on the gas pedal as they widened the lead to 23 goals (55-32) at the end of the third quarter.
In the final quarter, Uganda maintained its dominance and foot on the ground as it bagged a 26-goal victory.
She Cranes’ captain, Mary Nuba attributed the victory to a good start that gave them a brilliant rhythm throughout the game.
“We had a good start. We wanted to start strong and finish strong and I think that is what we did. I am happy that we are growing in every game,” she stated.
“We still have three games and we hope to keep building going into the next game. We are improving. We need to fix a little things so that we can improve all departments,” she added.
Uganda face the tournament hosts Scotland on Friday which promises to be a tough test.
