After faltering against Maroons, SC Villa need to bounce back immediately when they host bogey side URA at Fufa stadium, Kadiba.
The record champions saw their seven-match unbeaten streak ended by the Prison Warders last Saturday and missed an opportunity to keep pace with new log leaders KCCA.
Zeljko Kovacevic must face the tax men without over four key players – skipper David Owori and Reagan Mpande are with the national team in Morocco while defenders Geoffrey Lubangakene and Kato Ssemayange and winger Sula Matovu are suspended.
Lubangakene saw red in the defeat at Luzira while Ssemayange’s booking in the same game means he has accumulated three yellow cards.
With Arnold Odong out injured and Tabu not licensed, Kovacevic could turn to midfielders Tony Atukunda, Elvis Ngonde and Misi Diego Ssemugera to fill the defensive voids with right back Frank Mulimi replacing Owori.
Patrick Kakande could be given his first start of the season in the absence of Mpande but Hassan Mubiru could also be reinstated after coming off the pitch in the last game.
URA, beaten by Kitara have had a stop start season with only two wins this season and a meagre 11 points sitting in 9th position.
They will rely on forwards Nelson Ssenkatuka, Moses Aliro, Fred Amaku and former Villa attacker Nicholas Kabonge.
The tax collectors are still without a permanent head coach with Edward Golola still in charge on interim.
In the other game on Thursday, Entebbe UPPC host seven-time champions Express at Fisheries Grounds, Bugonga.
