Police registered a well-deserved 3-1 victory against BUL in the Uganda Premier League encounter at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru on Tuesday.
The oil manufacturers find themselves in a difficult position after going six games without a victory, drawing twice and suffering four straight defeats.
Dennis Kalanzi had a chance to put the Cops ahead in the first minute but lacked the calmness to put it at home.
In the 10th minute, Daniel Jakony’s header went wide by inches as the Cops kept knocking on the door.
Four minutes later, Juma Ikamba fired the visitors thanks to Richard Matovu’s delivery from the left flank.
After Mathias Muwanga made back-to-back saves, Abdul Karim Ndugwa levelled matters for BUL in the 29th minute.
Daniel Jakoni restored Police’s lead in the 87th minute after being set up by Saidi Kyeyune.
In added time, Brian Obed hit the last nail in BUL’s coffin as the Cops registered a dominant victory.
The victory takes Police to third position with 21 points in 11 games while BUL lie 12th with 10 points in 11 games.
