Each of the countries has a different base. Eight countries are stationed in Rabat city, six in Casablanca, four in Agadir/Taghazout, another four in Marrakech as well as one apiece in Fes and Tangier cities.

The 35th Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) officially kicks off on Sunday, 21st December 2025 when host country Morocco takes on Comoros at the 69,500-seater Complexe Sportif Prince Moulay Abdellah stadium in Rabat city.

There are 24 countries in action at this championship, including CECAFA zone record champions Uganda.

Mohammed VI Football Complex

Tournament hosts are at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Rabat city. Other countries in Rabat include Uganda (Le Caroussel), Tunisia (The View), Tanzania (Fairmont), Democratic Republic of Congo (Conrad Arzana), Botswana (Dawliz) and Algeria (Rabat Marriott).

Le Caroussel

The reigning champions Cote D’Ivoire is one of the four countries in Marrakech city, stationed at  Hyatt Park.

The other three countries in Marrakech are; South Africa (Four Seasons), Angola (Fairmont) and Zimbabwe (Sofitel).

There are nine stadia that will be used for hosting of the all the matches, right from the competition kick-off on Sunday, 21st December 2025 to the grand climax on 19th January 2026.

Complexe Sportif Prince Moulay Abdellah will host the official opening match between hosts Morocco and Comoros as well as the grand finale.

Mohammed VI Football Complex

Uganda Cranes:

Uganda Cranes is caged in group C alongside North Africans Tunisia, West Africans Nigeria and fellow CECAFA region representatives, Tanzania.

Uganda’s first match will be played on the 23rd December 2025 at the Stade Olympique Annexe Complexe Sportif Prince Moulay Abdellah, against Tunisia.

The second one will come on the 27th December 2025 with Tanzania at the Stade El Barid stadium before completing the group stage business on 30th December 2025 against Nigeria at Complexe Sportif De Fes.
