Tunisia head coach Sami Trabelsi is aware of the Uganda Cranes strength ahead of the two side’s clash in each other in the Afcon 2025 clash in Rabat.

The Carthage Eagles come into the game with a favourite tag but Trabelsi says a lot has changed in African football to expect an easy challenge.

“We are playing against quality opposition,” he told Kawowo Sports in a pre-match press briefing. “The statistics are there, and we have faced challenges ahead of the competition. What we saw recently shows the reality of African football—every team is playing at a high level and can make things difficult,” he elaborated.

Trabelsi, a former international with the 2004 Afcon winners says they are also happy with the organisation and weather in Morocco.

“For every coach, a competition like this comes with a lot of pride and pressure to do our best because it is a historic event.

“We want to be part of history. We are in a brotherly country and we are impressed with the infrastructure. We are happy with the weather, which is similar to Tunisia. Our players are confident, focused, and ready to give their best.”

Tunisia have a perfect record against Uganda with an aggregate 16-1 score line including two wins in Afcon history.
