Ivan Ahimbisibwe is one of the players yet to game a taste of the Africa Cup of Nations with Uganda Cranes but he is patiently waiting for his chance.
The KCCA striker is part of the squad in Morocco and spoke to Kawowo Sports in the aftermath of the draw with Tanzania saying whoever is playing surely deserves to.
“We have to always wait for our time,” he replied with a smile when asked if he could have done better if he played. “It is always a game and we have so many good and quality players and everyone who gets a chance surely deserves to play so we shall wait for our time,” he added.
With Uganda in a must win situation against Nigeria in the final group game, Ahimbisibwe says focus is getting three points and try to qualify.
“We are going back to the drawing back. We expect to have a good game against Nigeria. We believe in ourselves and come with a good mentality and try to win.”
For many pundits, Ahimbisibwe could be a game changer but hopefully, it is against Nigeria that Paul Put feels he deserves to play.
