The Belgian who guided Burkina Faso to the final in 2013 before losing to Nigeria also believes that the spirit, performance and mentality against Tanzania must be carried coming into the game.
“Against Tanzania, I think we played a good game. Unfortunately, we didn’t win but that gives you a good feeling to face Nigeria because you need to come on the field with a good feeling and be confident.
“If you are not confident, you can’t face a good team like Nigeria without those elements, it is always very complicated.
“The performance was good; the spirit was good and the mentality as well so I think players need to perform on the level they did against Tanzania.”
Uganda sit bottom of Group C with one point but victory against Super Eagles will give them chance to finish amongst the four best third placed teams.
