Buhimba United Saints finally returned to the winning rail, putting a halt to a poor run that had seen them go eight games without victory.

In that run, the newly promoted team had lost to BUL, SC Villa, Lugazi, Mbarara City, URA FC, Police FC and KCCA, picking the lone point against UPDF.

On Tuesday, as the League resumed following a break due to Uganda Cranes’ participation at AFCON, Buhimba secured a 1-0 win over Maroons FC at Royals Park, Butema.

The lone goal was scored by Derrick Byabacwezi, coming seven minutes after the break.

The win lifts Buhimba United up to 8th place on 13 points, while Maroons are just one place and two points above.
