Spectators are such a big element of the beautiful game, football.
They virtually add colour, energy, ignite pressure and dictate the tiding of duels at hand.
Since time immemorial, the modern trends of the game have prompted spectators across the divide to diversify from the traditional supporting means to the use of varying sound instruments, paintings plus other creative wear, dances and the like.
At the ongoing AFCON 2025, one standout character in the stands has been Michel Kuka Mboladinga, from one football-mad country, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
Lanky, dressed in a multi coloured suit, Mboladinga has lured millions for his immobile pose during matches, like the former DR Congo legendary leader Patrice Lumumba.
Lumumba is arguably one of the greatest Pan-African leaders who was the first prime minister of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Live television cameras have captured his pose, a series of still camera lenses projected and zoomed him out as he perfected his act, especially when DRC has been in action.

He is now an instant hit. A celebrity not only in DR Congo, but also across the Great Lakes region, Africa and the entire World alike.
Social media platforms Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, MySpace, LinkedIn and most sports websites are all hailing his character.
On Tuesday night, after Congo’s contest against Algeria, he shed tears following the elimination of his country from the championship.
He was then quickly invited for an extraordinary video and moment with the President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Dr. Patrice Motsepe.
The photos and videos have since caught a viral trend.

Whilst DR Congo were bundled out of the championship and are set to return home with immediate effect, Mboladinga will have an extended official stay courtesy of the Kingdom of Morocco, dubbed the Kingdom of Football.
Mboladinga will enjoy VIP star treatment until the tournament officially climaxes on 18th January 2026.
Rest assured, the Lumumba pose and legacy will be carried forward at AFCON 2025.
Who knows, self-endorsement deals will follow suit to reward loyalty, passion and creativity?
