Uganda Women’s National Football Team forward Fauzia Najjemba has completed a move to the National Women Super League (NWSL) in USA, joining Boston Legacy.

The Crested Cranes forward who recently parted ways with Russian outfit Dynamo Moscow, following the expiration of her contract joins Boston Legacy on a two-year deal.

The club took to its official social media handles to unveil the signing of the winger-cum striker.

“Adding some more fuel to our offensive powerhouse. Welcome to Boston, Fauzia Najjemba.” The statement reads.

Boston Legacy is a newly created team and will play in the NWSL for the first time, following the expansion of the League from 14 to 16 teams. The two new comers are Boston Legacy and Denver Summit.

Since its creation in March 2025, the team has been on a mission to assemble a formidable squad, signing players from different parts of the world.

Besides, Najjemba, the other new arrivals on the team include, Jorelyn Carabali signed from Brighton and Hove Albion, Ella Stevens, Alba Cano, Barbara Olivieri and Kaka among others.

Najjemba becomes the second Ugandan footballer to sign for a team in the NWSL, following defender Shadia Nankya who joined Washington Spirit but was later loaned out to Dallas Trinity.

Before moving to USA, Najjemba has previously featured for Dynamo Moscow in Russia, BIIK Shymkent in Kazakhstan, Kampala Queens and Isra Soccer Academy in Uganda.
