Overview:
Morocco recorded a record over 19.8 million visitors in 2024, explaining the increment of tourism revenues to over $12.6 billions (at least Ug.Shs 46 trillion) by 2025 according to the Data from the Morocco Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts and Social and Solidarity Economy.
Fire remains a key tool for human survival in life. It diligently serves different purposes ranging from light provision, warmth, cooking, protection, vegetation clearance to growth of animals and plants, among others.
In the famous Agafay desert (Marrakech) in Morocco, there is a famous fireman – Taufik.

Fire is Taufik’s monozygotic twin that virtually respects his commands to the dot – including feasting on it at free-will.
Using fire, Taufik entertains guests from the Desert safaris with varying styles as they keep warm around a fire-place from the cold coming off the snow-ice Atlas ranges.

This was the expedition we (Kawowo Sports Media team) that we were treated to after the enticing camel ride, quad biking and odd Moroccan dinner during one of the off days at the on-going AFCON 2025 tournament in Morocco.
At the dinner, there was entertainment by a traditional troupe drumming and singing in the Arabic dialect before the lights got off to pave way for the fire-man.

Taufik’s performances with the fire flames using two sticks thrilled the guests with the stand-out moment being that time when he spit the fire out of his mouth.

To him, everything seemed normal, but, with unusual with the super burning flames which no one can get even closer to.

Taufik winded down the magical performance with a unique fire-wax display from the fire flames as the crowd shouted aloud their voices in praise for the wonder man.
By this time, it was late and so cold that everyone yearned to return for the night’s rest.

Taufik – the fireman is the bold luring factor that I will soon return to the Agafay desert tour expedition.
Such is the reason why Morocco recorded a record over 19.8 million visitors in 2024, explaining the increment of tourism revenues to over $12.6 billions (at least Ug.Shs 46 trillion) by 2025 according to the Data from the Morocco Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts and Social and Solidarity Economy.
As these is attributed to the great social amenities as hotels, lodges, swift transport system (trains, cars and air), prevailing peace and security as well as other strategic investments.
