The year 2026 promises to be one for thrilling action on the golf courses.
Entebbe Club’s next 12 months are all booked with different competitions and social meet ups for the sport of Golf.
These will range from the juniors, ladies, sponsored championships, social’s, Uganda Golf affiliated championships to the regional events.
The signature MTN monthly Tee is one event that will be held every month of the year whilsst the Bia Baridi events will happen occasionaly.
The Stanbic quarterly match play challenge will commence with the qualification round in February.
The other tournament that will go on throughout the year is the I&M Katogo Golf Series.
Other championships include the Entebbe Junior Open, Entebbe Fundraiser, Kabalaza open, Entebbe Ladies, Victoria Cup, Pearl of Africa series, President’s cup, women’s day, Hima cement’s putter, Deo Akope Challenge, Chairman’s cup, NCBA Golf series, USGA regional tournament, Entebbe Open, Lady Captain’s and New Year eve social.
Entebbe Club was founded in 1901 and is arguably East Africa’s oldest golfing facility.
It started as a 9-hole course that was later expanded to 18 holes. Besides Golf, Entebbe Club also offers Tennis, Basketball and an assortment of indoor games like Pool, Darts and Snooker, among others.
The swelling member numbers is attributed to the awesome services provided including the newly refurbished club house, excellent hospitality and the splendid golf course.
