The prestigious Uganda Open championship series (Juniors, seniors, ladies, amateurs and professionals) return to Uganda Golf Club in Kampala in August and September. The different golf clubs in Entebbe, Kampala, Lake Victoria Serena & Spa, Mbarara, Lugazi Hills and Country Club (Mehta), Kabale, Lira, West Nile (Arua), Toro (Fort Portal), Tororo, Masindi, Mbale and Jinja all have different designated tournaments.

The Uganda Golf Union (UGU) released a compact calendar for the 2026 season from January through to December.

It is a grueling year with different activities and tournaments cutting across the respective golf clubs in the country.

The long-awaited elective assembly for the union will happen on 27th February 2026 in Entebbe.

The Victoria Cup will also be held in Entebbe come March, the same venue for the president’s cup in April.

Last year, the national open was played at the Lugazi Hills and Country Club, the first time ever that it was held outside Kampala and Wakiso.

The different golf clubs in Entebbe, Palm Valley, Kampala, Lake Victoria Serena & Spa, Mbarara, Lugazi Hills and Country Club (Mehta), Kabale, Lira, West Nile (Arua), Toro (Fort Portal), Tororo, Masindi, Mbale, Jinja, Namulonge and Kilembe Mines (Kasese) all have different designated tournaments.

The calendar is accommodative of all clusters of age brackets from the juniors to seniors; and all categories of golfers; beginners, the amateurs and professionals.
