Kitara could register a sixth consecutive home win if they overcome Express at the Royal Park Butema on Wednesday.
The Royals are unbeaten in six home matches winning five in a row and are favourites against the Red Eagles who are winless away in eight league matches.
Wasswa Bbosa, a league winner with Express has expressed his desire to beat his former bosses to keep the leading pack in close proximity.
“Big game against a big team but we are at home and must win to keep our ambitions on track,” said Bbosa.
It won’t be Bbosa alone facing former bosses but also players; John Byamukama, Emmanuel Wasswa, Isa Lumu, Murushid Jjuuko, Frank Tumwesigye and George Ssenkaaba among others.
Kitara are on 23 points in 6th position and drew 3-3 with NEC in their last outing at Lugogo.
On the other hand, Express are 10th with 15 points and need victory to continue escaping away from the relegation zones.
Elsewhere, record champions SC Villa host Mbarara City at Fufa stadium, Kadiba at 8pm.
