- Vipers 4-0 Buhimba United
Vipers retained the log summit advantage with a 4-0 victory against Buhimba United in the Uganda Premier League encounter at St Mary’s Stadium Kitende on Friday.
Milton Karisa (brace), Abdulkarim Watamba and Abubakali Walusimbi were on target as Vipers bagged maximum points on the day.
The hosts took the lead through Karisa in the opening minute of the game after guiding Chukwuma Odili’s well-taken delivery.
On-form Watambala was in the right position to double Vipers’ lead after nodding home Chukwuma’s delivery on the left flank.
With six minutes to play in the opening stanza, Karisa completed a personal brace with a powerful volley after being set up by Usama Arafat.
At top of the hour, Walusimbi won posession in the middle park before he quickly curled it in the back of the net leaving Buhimba’s backline clueless.
After picking three points, Vipers remain on top of the log with 36 points in 14 games while Buhimba United lie 12th with 13 points in 15 games.
