SC Villa can’t afford to slip when they host Lugazi at Fufa stadium, Kadiba on Saturday.

The record champions, currently seven points off the table summit must win against the Lugazi side if their title aspirations are to remain alive.

Coming into the game, they will be buoyed by their 6-1 win over Mbarara City on Wednesday and have not lost a game at Kadiba this season.

Forwards Hassan Mubiru and Frank Ssebuufu were in brilliant form on the night and will be trusted again by Serbian Zeljko Kovacevic to look for goals.

Meanwhile, Lugazi head coach Simon Peter Mugerwa who earned his first win at the club with a 2-1 victory over BUL in the last outing is aware of the threat Villa poses but wants his side to go to Kadiba and play with courage and get maximum points.

“The boys are ready for the challenge ahead after they won 6-1 against Mbarara City but we are also motivated after our win over BUL in a long time,” said Mugerwa.

“The boys are ready to play with committed, focus and energy because we are playing a strong side in Villa who we give respect but we can’t fear them and we go there to look for points to stabilize,” he added.

Former Villa midfielder David Bagoole is ruled out of the game but the rest of the players in Lugazi camp are available for selection.
