JT Lady Jaguars humiliated Pearl Queens in the 2026 National Basketball League opener.
The Lady Jaguars secured a well-deserved 74-29 victory against Pearl Queens in the 2026 NBL encounter at Lugogo Indoor Arena on Friday.
The Pearl Queens were treated to a harsh welcome to the top tier after a big deficit to last year’s finalists.
Rosiana Mungwapa got the game underway with an easy layup, but Brenda Kayaga responded with a shot from downtown.


Kayaga made a successful trip on the line as she converted both throws to open an 11-point (17-06) lead at the end of the first quarter.
In the second quarter, the newbies’ harvest increased as they dropped nine points but the deficit extended to 23 points going into the long break.
Coming from the long break, the Lady Jaguars kept the foot on the gas pedal as Aziida Nabayunga’s shot from downtown created a 33-point lead before heading into the final quarter.
Pearl Queens were limited to only five points in the final Quarter as the Lady Jaguars secured a 45-point victory on the day.
Brenda Kayaga (17 points) and Mary Priscillar Nambogo (12 points) dropped double digits while Mungwapa (13 points) and Jane Chisom (11 rebounds) managed double digits for Pearl Queens.
