Onduparaka players celebrate their victory over Kabale City in the 2026 Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 64 stage

Despite traveling over 720 KM from Arua to Kabale with only 11 players, Onduparaka showed resilience and grit to triumph.

Onduparaka Football Club marched to the round of 32 in the 2026 Stanbic Uganda Cup competition.

This followed a 3-1 win for the Catarpillars on the road over Western regional side Kabale City during the round of 64 played at the Kabale Municipal stadium on Sunday, 8th February 2026.

Jimmy Pirio, Jonathan Mungufeni and Michael Kedi scored for the visitors.

Abton Niwamanya got the consolation for Kabale City.

Despite traveling over 720 KM from Arua to Kabale with only 11 players, Onduparaka showed resilience and grit to triumph.

“This was a historic victory and I salute the players” Samuel Sule, the media manager remarked.

This was the first away win for Onduparaka in this competition over the last two seasons.

Meanwhile, Amus College School defeated Kiyinda Boys 2-0. Lucky Wanyama looped the ball over the goalkeeper in the 9th minute.

Mudashir Ijosiga slammed the ball home from close range for the second goal deep in added time.

The round of 64 continues on Monday, 9th February 2026 with Football Classroom taking on Calvary at Hamz stadium (Nakivubo war memorial grounds).

On Tuesday, Garuga Stars will host FUFA Big League side Kataka.

The winner of the Stanbic Uganda Cup qualifies to represent the country at the CAF Confederation Cup.

Vipers is the reigning champion.
