Non-league side Football Classroom etched its name in the books of history after ejecting Uganda Premier League side Calvary to storm the Round of 32.

Football Classroom secured a well-deserved 3-1 victory against Calvary in the ongoing Uganda Cup championship at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo on Monday.

Habib Oloya was tripped in the area but the referee waved play on judgig that the contact on the forward was very minimal.

Ibrahim Dada fired the Yumbe-based side ahead with a clever finish that beat the Football Classroom goalkeeper, Dennis Mugerwa, who was off his line.

With five minutes left on the clock in the opening stanza, Steven Yiga was fouled in the area and the referee awarded the hosts a penalty.

Oloya stepped up to the occasion and sent the goalkeeper the wrong way before he slotted the ball into the back of the net.

Moses Sseruyide curled the ball into the back of the net off a spectacular freekick to give the hosts the lead four minutes into the second half.

Three minutes to the top of the hour, Steven Yiga made it three for Football Classroom with a low well-struck effort.

Despite Calvary’s late charge, Football Classroom’s backline stood tall and firm to bag the bragging rights.
