About ten Ugandans were trained by a Japanese Karate black belt master Sho Sakamoto in Kampala.
Sakamoto is currently traveling on his second round-the-world journey as he engages different nationalities in the cultural exchange through the Karate sport.
The vastly experienced Japanese has executed home-stays and dojo visits and toured 89 countries of the world where he has practiced Karate in at least 59 countries, including Uganda.
The latest training in Kampala witnessed him as a guest black belt in a special training session at a karate dojo in Kampala led by instructor Leonard.
Around ten local students joined the session, which was energetic, respectful, and deeply inspiring.
“The training became a meaningful cultural exchange between Japanese and Ugandan martial artists, highlighting how karate can connect people across borders. Through Leonard’s dedicated instruction and the students’ enthusiasm, I strongly felt the educational and social power of martial arts within the local community.” Sakamoto testified.
Such programs remain clear pathways of talent spotting and further development in the martial arts field.
