Happy Sadat Anaku has completed a transfer to USL Championship side Hartford Athletic.
The former KCCA forward has put pen to a two-year employment contract keeping him at the club until 2028.
Anaku makes a positive step in his growing career, but it comes with great challenge and responsibility since he has a lot to prove.
Anaku’s move to Hartford Athletic was confirmed via the club’s official social handles.
“Ugandan forward Sadat Anaku joins us after netting 5 goals in 14 games with KCCA. He brings pace, power and relentless work rate,” the statement partly read.
Growing the ranks of the KCCA soccer academy, Anaku hit the road running with great pace, intelligence, quick finishing and ability to beat markers.
His impressive run in the junior side caught many’s attention, and when he graduated to the senior team, he earned a move to the Scottish league side Dundee United in 2022.
However, his stay at Dundee was cut short due to the recurring injuries that denied him a chance to find rhythm and consistency.
Anaku joins the long list of Ugandans who are playing in America and greatly earning from their talent at an early age.
