- KCCA vs BUL – MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo 8pm
KCCA must beat BUL to ease pressure on the coaching duo of Brian Ssenyondo and Jackson Magera following an abysmal start to the year.
The highly anticipated clash at the MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo comes on the back of two successive defeats for the Kasasiro which has left them behind in the race for the title.
With 30 points, KCCA find themselves in 6th position on the log, eight points behind leaders Vipers who were held by NEC on Tuesday.
Magera believes the race is far from far and confirmed the return of Ettiene Katenga and Gabriel Joao for the game against Alex Isabirye’s men.
“Besides Derrick Nsibambi, we have no more injuries to worry about with Katenga and Gabi back,” he told the club media.
“We know how important the game is and we will do everything to get three points,” he added.
BUL will be a tough opponent after rejuvenating under Isabirye and will hope to see Karim Ndugwa and the forward line threatening the KCCA backline that rarely keeps a clean sheet.
The Jinja based side are 8th with 24 points and head into the game after holding Vipers to a 1-1 draw in their last outing.
KCCA won the reverse fixture 2-1 in Njeru but have not completed a double over BUL since 2019.
Elsewhere on the day, Express visit Calvary in Midigo while Lugazi host UPDF.
