Kigezi HomeBoyz ascended to the summit of the 2025/26 FUFA Big League table standings with a slim 1-0 victory against Ntugasaze at the Kavumba Recreational Stadium on Sunday, 8th March 2026.
Dominic Abonga scored the all-important goal on the hour mark for Sadiq Sempigi’s coached charges.


Kigezi HomeBoyz now has 32 points from 18 matches, two points better than second-placed Blacks Power.
Lira based Blacks Power has 30 points after a goalless draw away to Iganga United.
Ntugasaze is third with 29 points, the same number of points as Paidha Black Angels, who lost 2-1 to CATDA on Saturday.
Kataka keeps track of the top four with 28 points in the fifth position after a 1-0 home win over Onduparaka at the Mbale City stadium.
Isaac Owinyi scored the all-important goal in the second stanza as Godfrey Awachango’s Kataka earned maximum points at home to climb to 5th place.

Other Results
Kiyinda Boys smiled past visiting Nebbi Central 2-0 at Betherm city playground with Tonny Ssendi’s goal.
Kaaro Karungi edged Young Elephant Academy 1-0 at Kyamatte Playground in Ntungamo. Gideon “Nazilu” Onyango scored the match-winner in the 75th minute.
On Saturday, Wakiso Giants overcame visiting Mbale Heroes at Hamz Stadium.
The contest between Bunyaruguru United and Soltilo Bright Stars ended goalless at the Nyamambuka Ground.
Four top clubs will be promoted to the Uganda Premier League by the end of the regular season in May 2026.
In the same vein, the four bottom-placed clubs shall be demoted to the respective regional leagues.
