- Young Africans 7-1 Police Tanzania
After a slow start, Allan Okello seems to have found the rhythm at his new side, Young Africans commonly known as Yanga.
Okello was involved in four goals as Yanga thumped Police 7-1 in the CRDB Federation Cup at KMC Complex on Sunday evening.
Under the lights, Yanga’s fans were given a colourful evening that witnessed a goal galore on top of securing a slot in the Round of 16.
The hosts came out of the frames early finding the opener through Mudathir Yahya who calmly slotted the ball in the back of the net under a minute.
Laurindo Dilson Maria Aurellio also known as Depu doubled Yanga’s lead in the 22nd minute with a powerful effort before neeting again in the 34th minute. Depu was set up by Mudathir who was brought into play by Okello.
In the 38th minute, Police defender Joseph Majagi put the ball into his net and he tried to clear Allan Okello’s effort that had bounced off the goal post.

In the 59th minute, Depu made it four for Yanga thanks to Okello’s brilliant delivery as he completed a personal hat-trick.
Police pulled back one in the 71st minute after defender Frank Assinki guided the ball into his net.
Off the bench, Buba Jammeh made an immediate impact as he scored Yanga’s sixth in the 76th minute.
Abdulnassir Mohamed put the icing on the cake in the 84th minute, which went through a forest of legs. This was a fruit of an attack started by Okello’s short corner.
