KCCA have now secured four straight victories in the ongoing 2025-26 Uganda Premier League.

KCCA registered a well-deserved 3-0 victory against struggling Express in the encounter at the Omondi Stadium in Lugogo on Wednesday.

It was always going to be tough for Express, who decided to throw Gift Ali in the Kampala Derby, yet he lacked the match fitness and fresh legs to go toe-to-toe with Brian Jjara and Joel Sserunjogi.

The hosts started on the front foot, testing Express’ shaky backline, but the Red Eagles kept in the game for the opening 10 minutes of the game.

Unmarked Sammy Sebaduka nodded the hosts ahead in the 13th minute after limping high to connect with Herbert Achayi’s well-weighted delivery.

Ivan Ahimbisibwe doubled KCCA’s lead in the 29th minute after being set up by Sebaduka. KCCA benefited from a great press, not allowing the visitors to start from the back.

Saidi Mayanja joined the scoring party in the 61st minute with a diving header as he connected well with Shafic Kwikiriza’s delivery from the right flank.

The well-deserved victory meant that the Kasasiro Boys completed a double against the old rivals in the Kampala derby.

The victory keeps KCCA in the third position on the table with 42 points from 20 games, while Express lie in 11th position with 20 points in as many games.
