The exciting Tusker Lite Neon night runs have returned to the domestic running calendar since 2018.
This was officially announced on Friday, 13th March 2026 at the lake side Uganda Breweries Limited head plant in Luzira, a suburb of the capital, Kampala.
Different runners from the various running clubs were engaged first in a 5KM road run around Luzira before returning for the stretching drills and then the launch held at the bar.
“We last held the Tusker Lite Neon Runs in 2018. We are excited that such runs have returned. These are vibrant night runs that blend with music, movements and shared energy as Tusker Lite is. Uganda Breweries is excited that the running culture has continued to grow” Sandra Againe, the Brand Manager of Tusker Lite revealed.
The opening Tusker Lite Neon Run will take place on Friday, 10th April 2026 with two categories; in the 5KM and 10KM races.
The start and finishing point shall be 1st Circuit Lounge in the posh and tranquil leafy Kololo.
Julius Nkurunija, the routes designer assured the runners of safe routes and good organization.
“The routes for the 5KM and 10KM races have been well designed. There will be good security with lights and security personnel as well as route stewards along the way” Nkurunija stated.
The Tusker Lite Neon night runs are known for the fun they generate, teamwork effort, stamina and endurance as the different runners prepare for the future races.
Such Tusker Lite Neon night runs will be held until the main Tusker Lite Mount Rwenzori Marathon in Kasese due in August 2026.
