Tornado Bee continued their fine start to the season with another eye-catching win against newcomers Mukono Warriors.

Roger Mukasa scored the fourth century of the season, which anchored the comfortable run chase for the former four-time league winners. He plundered five maximums and 11 boundaries in his knock to bring up a second win for Tornado Bee, and in the context of a one-round league, the win gets them close to securing their top-flight status.

Defending Champions Kutchi Tigers got past Ceylon Lions at home with a clinical six-wicket victory in a low-scoring game.

Perry Wazombe (76) got a deserved half-century but that was the only score of significance in their total of 148. In response, a collective team effort got Kutchi Tigers over the line to secure a six-wicket win.

It was a second loss for Ceylon Lions, which will hurt their title ambitions but also put them into the relegation worries.

In the Silver Division, Wanderers and Kutchi Tigers B won against Nile and St John’s SSS Mukono, respectively.

Wanderers won their first game of the season, and that keeps them in good company with those at the top.

In the Bronze Division, Centurions made light work of hosts Jinja SSS at home. The visitors didn’t break a sweat in knocking over the 64 runs set by the hosts, with the game concluded inside nine overs in the run chase. Centurions continued their good form as they chase a place in the Silver Division.

Tornado scored a big win against Mukono Development on their first outing of the season against a helpless Mukono Development side. Lawrence Ssempijja turned back the years in a player-of-the-match performance.
