The 2026 Mityana District USSSA Football Championship is on-going at the Mityana Ssaza grounds.
In Group H, St Francis Senior Secondary School Busunju has so far won once, 4-0 over Busujju SS and drawn the other 1-all with giants MUMUSA High School.
Against Busujju S.S, St Francis SSS Busunju scored through Emmanuel Ssenyondo, Isma Mubiru, Collins Talemwa and skipper Muzammil Kaweesi.
Fahad Mugomba scored their goal during the 1-all draw with MUMUSA High School.
This Thursday, 26th March 2026, St Francis SSS Busunju has a double header against St Francis SS Mityana (11 am) and St Leonardo SS, Kakindu at 3 PM.
James Kaweesa, the head coach for St Francis SSS Busunju is optimistic that they will perform well in the remaining games and progress out of the group stages.
“We started fairly and anticipate to end strongly with a target of qualifying to the round of 16, quarter finals, all the way to the semi-finals and finals” Kaweesa remarks.
Six schools will qualify from Mityana District for the Mpigi zonal championship due in Mubende district in the month of April.
Mpigi zone has several districts as Mpigi, Mityana, Kassanda, Mubende and Gomba.
