Overview:
Of the six, four will come from the European play-offs and another two sides via the Inter-Continental Play-off that is ongoing in two Mexico cities of Guadalajara and Monterrey.
It is less than three months to the highly anticipated FIFA World Cup 2026 finals due in Canada, United States and Mexico.
The final draw was held in December last year in Washington DC but there are still six spots to be decided.

Here is a look at the 12 ties from which the remaining six nations will be determined.
DR Congo vs Jamaica [Path 1 via Fifa Inter-continental play-off]

DR Congo are the sole representatives from Africa in the Inter-continental play off and take on Jamaica who eliminated New Caledonia to reach the path one final.
The Leopards are seeking a return to the World Cup for the first time since 1974 while Jamaica have not played at the competition finals since 1998. Both nations have had one previous appearance.
The winner will join Group K that has Portugal, Colombia and Uzbekistan.
Iraq vs Bolivia [Path 2 – Fifa Inter-continental play-off]

Iraq are targeting their second appearance at the World Cup having featured at the Mexico edition 1986 following their 3-2 win over UAE in the 5th qualifying round.
On the other hand, Bolivia want a fourth appearance and after finishing 7th in the CONMEBOL, they overcame Suriname in the intercontinental semi-final.
The winner will advance to Group I with France, Senegal and Norway.

Italy vs Bosnia & Herzegovina [Path A]

Italy has missed out on the past two editions and target a return to the biggest showpiece in world football.
They overcame Northern Ireland in the semis to set up final against lowly ranked Bosnia & Herzegovina who earned their first and only appearance at Brazil 2014.
Having beaten Wales in their semi-final, they will fancy their chances.
The winner here joins Group B that has Canada, Qatar and Switzerland
Sweden vs Poland [Path B]

Sweden have previously played at 12editions and their most recent best performance was in United States in 1994.
They beat Ukraine in the play-off semis to set up a tie with Poland who beat Albania to get here.
They have previously featured at nine editions and are targeting a third successive appearance.
The winner will advance to Group F with Japan, Netherlands and Tunisia.
Turkey vs Kosovo [Path C]

Turkey are looking for a return to the World Cup since finishing 3rd in Japan/South Korea in 2002 after they defeated Romania in the play-off semi-final.
A maiden World Cup qualification for Kosovo is the target after they beat Slovakia in their play-off semi-final.
A place in Group C with Paraguay, Australia and co-hosts United States of America (USA) is the prize.
Denmark vs Cech Republic [Path D]

Denmark overcame North Macedonia in the play off semi-final and now seek a third successive World Cup appearance while Cech Republic, runners up in 1934 and 1964 want to qualify for a 10th world cup but first since 2006 in Germany.
The winner advances to Group A with Korea Republic, Mexico and South Africa.
