Pius Ssebulime is animated having won his first ever trophy at Rutgers University.

The talented 21-year-old holding midfielder guided Rutgers University to a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Fordham during the inaugural Metro Spring College Cup finale played at the Yurkcak Field in Piscataway, New Jersey.

“It feels great to win the Metro Spring College Cup. We worked as a team for this achievement” Ssebulime revealed.

Ssebulime started every game for Rutgers University in the Metro Spring College Cup, featuring in all the five matches with an enviable 380 minutes in total.

He also made it to the outstanding best eleven players in the tournament.

Through all the matches, he offered the defensive shield for the team in central midfield with great timely interceptions, recoveries, successful dribbles and decisive passes.

Given the sensitivity of the central midfield defensive role, he did not get any caution.

Ssebulime is a former student at St Henry’s College Kitovu (SHACK) in Masaka city, Uganda.
