Gomba is in Masengere group along with Mawokota, Kyaggwe, Busiro, Bulemeezi and islanders Ssese.
The 2026 Buganda Masaza Cup competition officially gets underway on Saturday, 13th June.
The different teams have continued to prepare for the grueling season, identifying reputable officials and players.
The record five time Masaza cup champions Gomba officially unveiled a 31-man squad during an event witnessed by the county chief Fred William Mugabi at the Kabulasoke PTC grounds.

The squad has a blend of the youth and experienced in every department.
The goalkeeping docket has the trio of Bashir Ssenyonga, Lawrence Kimera and Benson Ssekatawa.
Among the experienced defenders include Fahad Aniku, Peter Gava, Herbert Onenchan, Colline Ssemanda, among others.

The cast of midfielders have Dirisa Masembe, Joseph Kiiza, Patrick Sserunjogi, Alfred Ssebunya, Owen Mawejje and others.
The forward line will be led by former winner Jackson Ssemugabi, Robert Ssewanyana, Meddie Muhammed Kasule, Alvin Kitiibwa, Hassan Waiswa and other players.
Gomba Lions played a friendly match with Buweekula on Sunday, ending in a 1-all draw.
Faisal Bbumba scored for Buweekula, the reigning champions whilst Owen Mawejje replied for Gomba Lions.
Experienced coaching team:
Felix Kawooya Ssekabuuza is the head coach of Gomba, working with Davis Nnono Ssozi and trainer Lawrence Nduga with the other members of the backroom team.
Gomba is in Masengere group along with Mawokota, Kyaggwe, Busiro, Bulemeezi and islanders Ssese.
The Lions commence the campaign on the road away to Busiro on 21st June 2026.
Gomba’s successful titles came in 2004, 2009, 2014, 2017 and lately 2020 during the COVID-19 edition.
