The technical team handling Kenya U-23 team has summoned a total of 57 players for the upcoming African Cup of Nations U-23 qualifiers against Mauritius.
Five of these players are goalkeepers Timothy Odhiambo (Ulinzi Stars), Job Ochieng (Mathare United), Kelvin Omondi (Sony Sugar), Brian Bwire (Kariobangi Sharks) and Richard Aimo (Chemelil Sugar), with the rest of the players playing on-field positions.
US based Joseph Okumu, who features for Real Monarchs is part of the pool of players.
The first in the first round will be played on November 16, 2018, in Kenya, with the second leg set to be played three days later.
The aggregate winner will face off with either Seychelles or Sudan in the second round.
Meanwhile, Uganda’s 34-man team for the South Sudan game will begin double training sessions on Monday, 5th November 2018 at the StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo.
13 countries were handed byes into the 2nd round of the competition that has attracted 43 teams.
Egypt will host the final tournament in 2019, between November 8, and November 22.
