Juliet Appiah from Ghana is part of the 25 referees for 2018 AWCON finals in Ghana

The 25 referees to officiate at the 2018 Women Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Ghana were confirmed by the Confederation of Africa Football Associations (CAF).

Of these, 13 are center referees, and 12 assistant referees.

Tanzania’s Jonesia Rukyaa Kabakama is the youngest among the center referees, aged 28 years old.

Gladys Lengwe from Zambia is the oldest center referee at 39 years, two years ahead of Ethiopian, Lidya Tafesse Abebe.

Mireille Mujanayi Kanjinga from the Democratic Republic of Congo and Mauritius’ Victoire Queency are youngest among the assistant referees, each aged 28 years old.

Lidwine Pelagie Rakotozafinoro, 37, from Madagascar is the oldest assistant referee.

The tournament kicks off on 17th November 2018 and will climax by 1st December 2018.

Two host cities will be used for the tourney; Accra and Cape Coast.

Hosts Ghana open up with Algeria and Mali plays fellow West Africans Cameroon in the opening match day one double header.

The CECAFA region is proudly represented by Kenya who are in group B alongside the defending champions Nigeria, South Africa and Zambia.

Group A constitutes of hosts Ghana, Algeria as well as two West African entities Mali and Cameroon.

The top three teams will qualify for the World Cup in France.

Nigeria are the defending champions.
