Vipers Sports Club returned to the peak of the 2020/21 Uganda Premier League with a comprehensive 3-0 win on the road against Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF) at the Army Barracks stadium in Bombo on Friday, 2nd April 2021.
Congolese international Ceaser Manzoki scored a brace and Paul Mucureezi got the other goal for Fred Kajoba’s coached side.

Mucureezi gave the Venoms the lead on the quarter hour mark with a well struck penalty past goalkeeper Eric Kibowa.
The penalty was awarded by referee Ashadu Ssemere after a hand ball foul by Sam Kintu off Livingstone Mulondo’s header following a curling corner kick by Disan Galiwango.
Manzoki doubled the lead in the 27th minute with a fierce shot from 25 yards after miscommunication between UPDF defenders Kintu and Joseph Bright Vuni
Half time of the game played on the sunny evening ended 2-0.
Manzoki combined with second half substitute Abraham Ndugwa to nod home the third goal with 10 minutes to play.
The towering Congolese forward was named the pilsner man of the match, earning Shs 100,000.

This was Vipers’ 11th win in 16 matches that takes them to 36 points, same as Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) who travel to Mutesa II Wankulukuku on Saturday to face Express.
UPDF lost their 7th game of the season which leaves them on 21 points in the 7th position.
Meanwhile, Morley Byekwaso kick-started his journey as head coach at KCCA with a resounding 3-0 home win over BUL at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
Wakiso Giants lost 2-1 at home to visiting Mbarara City at the Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium in Wakiso.
Kitara fell 3-1 to Soltilo Bright Stars at Kavumba Recreational Stadium.
