Ugandan middle distance runner Winnie Nanyondo ended her first international meet on a low after finishing eighth in the 800m finals at the 14th World Junior Athletics Championships on Friday night.
She clocked 2:07.23, crossing the finish line last in the two lap race that was won by USA’s Ajee Wilson in 2:00.91, her new personal best.
Great Britain’s Jessica Judd, who stunned her twice enroute the final won silver in 2:00.96.
