MULTIPLE INDUSTRIES CRICKET LEAGUE
Rounders CC 113/10 Nile CC 116/9
After a losing to ‘title pretenders’ Charity by five wickets a week back, Nile Cricket Club did all they could and bounced back with a one wicket win over relegation scrapped side Rounders at Jinja SS oval yesterday. Nile won the toss, opted to bowl and Rounders were all out for 113 with Narinder Singh (30) and Joshua Mwanja (23) reaching the double batting figures. Nile’s Ivan Kakande snared four wickets (man-of-the-match) and Raza Iqbal (2/23) picked a brace.
Abraham Oduch hit an unbeaten 27 and Safraza Chunara added 24 runs as Nile gunned down their opponents in the second innings with 116 run tally. Rounders’ Micheael Kintu (3/26) and Narinder Singh’s (3/34) bowling did not deter Nile from earning their third league win from four games.
It was Rounders’ sixth loss and they remain rooted bottom on seven points from the possible 42.
