League champions Patidar Samaj suffered a 42-run loss to Nile in a Multiple Industries’ Cricket League at Lugogo Oval yesterday. David Musoke’s unbeaten 74, Martin Ondeko half century and Michael Grace Ndiko’s 30-odd ensured Nile set 230 runs for a five wicket loss. The unclear skies in the second innings were Patidar’s blessing in disguise as the target was revised to a 165 target in 26 overs.
Patidar only managed 122 for nine wickets with Charles Waiswa’s 26, Lawrence Ssematimba’s 26, Nandi Kisore 20-odd. “Finally, a quick-fire 50 to end the drought for runs and sink Patidar Samaj, my friends, I think your advice worked” Ondeko posted on his Facebook wall.
