Wanderers keep pace at league summit

Wanderers 277/6 SKLPS 185/9
Wanderers Cricket Club will not be written off this season’s league winning teams as they impressively humbled SKLPS by 92 runs at Kyambogo Oval yesterday in a Multiple Industries duel. Wanderers won the toss, opted to bat and set 277 for the loss of six wickets. Arthur Ziraba notched 71 runs and national team skipper Davis Karashani picked a half ton of 59 runs.
SKLPS’ Ankesh Vekaria put up 42 runs on chart and Rohit Dhanji added 34 but it was not worth earning them a third win of the season. Wanderers’ Nehal Bibodi (3/23) and Arinaitwe (2/31) single handedly put out five batsmen. The victory, sixth in the season meant Wanderers remained second with 35 points.
Man of Match: Davis Arinaitwe
