Ugandan soccer fans have raided the Copperbelt town of Ndola,Zambia to watch Zambia’s Chipolopolo and Uganda Cranes in a crucial Africa Cup of Nations first leg qualifier on September 8.

According to managing director of Pearl Sporto   Faisal Musenze,air tickets for the flight with their

partners Air Uganda are almost sold out  with six Business and 23 Business class remaining for the charted flight to Zambia.

“The turn-up for the maiden flight to Zambia is overwhelming and their a few spaces left for fans to fill up,” Musenze said at a press briefing at Air Uganda head offices in Kololo. “We have also arranged for good accomodation for the fans in Kitwe at Moba Hotel 40 kilometers outside Ndola.”

It will be the first time that a special flight has been arranged by Air Uganda in partnership with Pearl Sporto. “We are glad to be part of this partnership and we are urging more fans to pay up for the tickets as we would like to see them cheer on the national team,” Jennifer Musiime, the Head of Sales and Marketing at Air Uganda said. “The deadline for paying up is September 5 and we want fans to take up all the spaces so that they can enjoy the atmosphere in Ndola, their lots of things to see and enjoy in Zambia.”

Cranes need to get a positive result away to stand a chance to qualify for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.
