Express FC league winning manager Sam Ssimbwa has reiterated to Kawowo sports that he is not sure whether he’ll be at Express FC next season or not.
The flamboyant Coach stated. “Am happy to win the league for Express FC because many people thought am only capable of winning Kakungulu cups. However, am not sure whether I’ll still be at Wankulukuku next season. Am not sure of my future”.
The title was Express FC’s first in 16 years with their last coming way back in 1996 under then Serb Coach Dragon Popadic. It was also Ssimbwa’s first league title since he started a coaching career that has so far lasted 13 years.
The prince began coaching in 1999 at Mbale Heroes where he helped the side win the Uganda Cup. He has held the head coach role at many clubs including KCC FC, Top T.V and Kenyan side Sofapaka FC. He has won two Kakungulu Cups (at Mbale Heroes and Express FC) and one league title for Express FC. Rumor doing the round is that Kenyan giants Gor Mahia FC are interested in his services but it all remains speculation. As usual, Kawowo sports will keep you posted on the developments as they develop.
